Mr. Hein is currently Principal for OilandGasConsultant.com and was Managing Member for Unconventional Hydrocarbon Advisors, PLLC (a licensed Texas consulting firm) for 6 years until May 2020.
He has over 35 years’ experience in petroleum engineering particularly in reservoir engineering, reserve evaluations, A&D, evaluation of low permeability reservoirs and production operations. Additionally, he has been involved in horizontal well evaluations and completions since 1989 starting in the Bakken and Austin Chalk reservoirs. He has performed integrated reservoir engineering studies, evaluations for acquisitions and divestitures, reserve/resource reports and production optimization in major producing areas in the United States and internationally.
Mr. Hein has authored several courses/presentations on Evaluation of Low Permeability Reservoirs, including a short course at a national SPEE meeting. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering and did graduate work in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Tulsa. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas.
